Online poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years numerous types on the original poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with chemin de fer than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little bluffing or different kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up just before the croupier announcing "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different players receive five cards each. After you have seen your hand and the bank’s first card, you must in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call bet’s value is akin to your beginning wager, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your bet goes immediately to the bank. After the wager comes the showdown. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, plus an amount on par with the ante. If the house does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The house pays money equal to your wager and controlled expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
