Mrs. Duke mightn’t have won her 1st World Series of Poker Bracelet until two thousand and four but she is still one of the most feared poker players around the ring games at The Bellagio in Las Vegas. Annie’s longawaited World Series of Poker bracelet came with a win at the "forgotten game" of Omaha high-low.

While players from the "younger crowd" of poker go crazy after a large win at the tournament, Annie goes back home and becomes "mom" to her four children. She was born in New Hampshire and raised into a family of card competitors. If you do not believe that, check out her brother, Howard Lederer, in action who educated her how to participate in the game.

However, Annie Duke is no small change girl and has captured her cut of challenging tables, including eliminating Howard along the way on a couple of occasions. They are both players that have the skill to capture the huge $$$$$ and do so with a smile.

Annie Duke is a strong competitor at any poker table because she is a natural poker player, but it’s a bit more than just being great at the game. Annie is extremely intelligent and graduated from Columbia U where she took a double major in English and Psychology.

When you sit across from her at the table you will see she is there to compete in the game and she begins "sizing" you up as soon as you sit down at the table. If you cannot compete like a winner, then don’t waste your time.

Earning over 3 million dollars in tournament play, Annie became a adviser to both the UltimateBet website and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who wanted to enhance his talents and develop into a force at the poker table.

You might catch a glimpse of her at the Bellagio, you’ll notice her on the television and you might even play against her in an on-line poker game, but do not expect an easy win. Except of course you are a champion-in-the-making, you won’t defeat her. Although, it’d be exciting to mention you played at the same table as "The Duke".
